Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose has a word for fans still hoping for a full-fledged reunion with Slash and the original GNR line-up in the wake of Velvet Revolver’s recent demise and the disastrous showing of the Gunners’ long-anticipated Chinese Democracy album.

In a rare, often scathing interview with AOL Music’s Spinner.com website, Rose all but writes the epitaph for the band’s original, legendary line-up.
Axl says it’s “highly doubtful for us to have more than one of the alumni up with us at any given time” for future live appearances.
He variously disses guitarist Izzy Stradlin (who’s made modern guest turns with the band) as unreliable and says much-troubled drummer Steven Adler comes with "assorted ambulance-chasing attorneys …One gig or even a couple songs could mean years of behind-the-scenes legal aftermath," yet leaves open the possibility that former bassist “Duff (McKagan) could play guitar on something somewhere.”
“But there's zero possibility of me having anything to do with Slash,” insists Rose about GNR’s former guitar star, whom he accuses of losing his musical edge and being “a whore for the limelight.”
"In a nutshell, personally I consider him a cancer and better removed, avoided – and the less anyone heard of him or his supporters the better."
Ouch.
GNR’s current lineup has just confirmed it will play Spain’s Kobetasonik Festival, to be held in Bilbao on June 20 and 21 and featuring Motley Crue, Anthrax, Marilyn Manson, Trivium, Dragonforce, Hatebreed, Cradle Of Filth, Papa Roach, Devildriver, Gojira, God Forbid and others.
